Spec Notes and Reasons in Mythic Plus Healer Tier
S Tier
Restoration Druid
- Very strong in this pool. Brings poison dispel for Ara Kara, a short kick, high damage for a healer, reliable control, and Mark of the Wild. The Season 3 Wildstalker tier set turns Clearcasting into extra Symbiotic Blooms, adding heavy passive healing and lifting overall HPS. Regrowth remains the focused heal of choice and pairs well with Lifebloom for priority targets, which fits the many spot heal checks this season. With setup, Druid also manages burst AoE comfortably. Expect very high demand if current output holds.
Discipline Priest
- Continues to be one of the best healers for keys. Both Voidweaver and Oracle are viable. Voidweaver shines where burst AoE is predictable and spot healing is lighter, while Oracle is strong where one shots or heavy spot healing are common, such as Priory. Power Infusion and Power Word Fortitude add team value. Luminous Barrier gained strength in five player content and is useful when players do not stack perfectly for Power Word Barrier. The incoming Voidweaver tier set keeps it competitive with Oracle and adds excellent DPS, which is a bonus in timed content.
Restoration Shaman
- A top pick for groups of all types. Offers poison cleanses, Skyfury, strong control, the shortest kick with Wind Shear, a knock up with Thunderstorm, and an AoE stun with Capacitor Totem. Totemic hero talents deliver instant burst AoE healing with Lively Totems and full strength Chain Heals that benefit from High Tide, although Surging Totem costs real mana. The main weakness is efficiency once major cooldowns are down, which can push heavy Healing Surge usage during high triage and strain mana. Farseer gained powerful buffs to Call of the Ancestors and a tier set that grants a large short uptick in healing and better Cloudburst value. Farseer is more mana efficient than Totemic while still covering AoE, so both paths are viable.
A Tier
Holy Paladin
- Receives small talent adjustments. Aura Mastery and Devotion Aura did not receive the five player bonus that other healer raid cooldowns got, which keeps the spec from rising higher. Holy Light is useful but costly, so it is best woven in to top allies. Divine Toll no longer benefits from last season’s cooldown reduction, so planning around Avenging Wrath uptime matters. The spec excels in burst healing and mixes mitigation with raw output to handle spikes. A short kick, strong blessings, and tools for poisons and bleeds are all positives. The main challenge is matching the raw output of the S tier picks at very high levels.
B Tier
Mistweaver Monk
- Chi Harmony was reduced from 50 percent to 25 percent, with direct Vivify healing buffed to compensate. Vivacious Vivification now resets the instant Vivify window based on Tiger Palm checks, which smooths gameplay. Mistweaver brings frequent burst healing through Invoke Chi Ji, Jade Empowerment, and Sheilun’s Gift, plus a short kick, an external, an AoE stun, and Ring of Peace. Works well in physical leaning comps that benefit from Mystic Touch, and direct interrupts are more valuable this season, which favors Monk. Revival clears dangerous debuffs, especially useful in Halls. The Master of Harmony tier set adds damage and healing to Tiger Palm casts. Output is strong, but shorter range control and reliance on melee positioning still keep it a step behind the top group.
Preservation Evoker
- Delivers powerful burst healing from empower combos, a poison dispel, an omni dispel with Cauterizing Flame, and control tools like Oppressing Roar, Tail Swipe, and Wing Buffet. The downside is heavy setup and high punishment for mistakes in empower sequences. Time Dilation now has two charges, which is great for spot healing. Chronowarden improves empower abilities with extra healing over time and cooldown reduction, and the new tier set greatly increases Chrono Flame casts for added damage and healing on bosses. Despite these gains, the demanding setup and weaker raid buff reduce representation in top keys.
Holy Priest
- Lightweaver gives stable single target healing for heavy spot heal fights. Prayer of Healing is usable again, Mind Soothe enables efficient skips in this dungeon set, Fortitude remains valuable, and Mass Dispel is excellent where multiple magic effects stack, especially in Halls. Holy also offers Power Infusion. The Season 3 set produces direct healing when Prayer of Mending is cast, which improves priority healing and encourages frequent PoM. Weaknesses are lack of a true interrupt, lighter burst for heavy pulses, and lower personal survivability. With limited control, Holy depends more on teammates to stop casts, which increases incoming damage in pickup groups.
