This The War Within Season 3 DPS Tier List summarizes the current raid rankings for Manaforge Omega. It reflects performance, utility, and raid value for Patch 11.2. Last updated: August 22, 2025 for Patch 11.2.
How This The War Within Season 3 DPS Tier List Is Determined
Rankings focus on high end Mythic progression. Single target output is weighed most, with added weight for burst windows, priority damage, stacked or spread cleave, movement handling, and survivability. Raid buffs can decide comp choices, so once your team has key buffs covered, player skill often matters more than small placement gaps.

Spec Notes And Reasons in The War Within Season 3 DPS Tier List
A Tier
Frost Death Knight
- Breath of Sindragosa is simpler to use, and the spec delivers strong burst that cleaves well. Anti Magic Zone has a shorter window but can be more impactful in tight Mythic timings, increasing demand for DKs.
Elemental Shaman
- Buffs pushed Elemental near the top for both single target and cleave, whether stacked or spread. It rewards planning for movement and brings high output when played cleanly.
Devastation Evoker
- Strong single target and burst AoE with excellent mobility. Time Spiral and Spatial Paradox add unique raid movement value, and either effect can justify stacking more Evokers.
Destruction Warlock
- Reliable 2 target cleave via Havoc and solid cooldown burst. Sustained single target trails the very top picks, but sturdiness and core Warlock tools keep it highly valuable.
Arcane Mage
- Standout priority damage and burn window output, with solid barriers and immunities for safety. A Mage is expected for Arcane Intellect; Arcane fits fights that reward burst on command.
Augmentation Evoker
- Best in coordinated groups that plan buff targets and cooldown cycles. Strong when amplifying specs that align with fight windows, but less universal than before recent nerfs.
Shadow Priest
- Excellent spread cleave with good single target and notable value from Power Infusion. Brings Fortitude and a sturdy defensive kit.
Subtlety Rogue
- High burst in damage amp windows and strong boss damage if uptime is clean. Atrophic Poison adds group mitigation value.
B Tier
Feral Druid
- Improved single target and useful cleave while staying on priority targets. Usual Druid utility helps, though melee slots and existing Mark of the Wild can limit demand.
Frost Mage
- Easy to pilot builds and great in stacked two target with Splitting Ice. Less burst for amp windows than Arcane and can feel more rooted on movement heavy bosses.
Affliction Warlock
- Good cooldowns and spread add damage when timings align. A small nerf nudged it behind Destro for most progression, but it remains sturdy and effective.
Demonology Warlock
- High single target sims but can underperform in practice versus Destro’s damage profile. Still brings core Warlock utility and toughness; a small pre season nerf placed it here.
Unholy Death Knight
- Pre tier nerfs dropped it slightly, but it is still fine. Anti Magic Zone remains useful, with Death Grip value depending on the fight.
Windwalker Monk
- Better scaling and flexible damage across single target and bursts. Mystic Touch is strong raid value. Highly mobile and survivable with experience.
Beast Mastery Hunter
- Fully mobile ranged damage with practical utility. Recent tuning lowered damage, but mobility keeps it a solid choice for assigned jobs.
Havoc Demon Hunter
- Often required for Chaos Brand unless a Vengeance DH is used. Fine single target, strong stacked priority damage via Wounded Quarry, and Darkness as a group cooldown.
Fire Mage
- Very mobile with Cauterize safety and passive Ignite cleave. Overall tuning sits behind Frost and Arcane’s niches this tier.
Retribution Paladin
- High utility and Devotion Aura coverage, with mid to upper mid performance. Often looks good in early or less coordinated groups.
Fury Warrior
- Comfortable gameplay with adaptable cooldowns, plus Battle Shout and Rallying Cry. Damage is serviceable but not standout.
Enhancement Shaman
- Midpack damage and a narrower defensive kit. Skyfury changes reduce mandatory stacking; Elemental often takes the DPS Shaman slot at the top end.
Survival Hunter
- Good single target sims, but melee role raises the bar to secure a slot. Would benefit from a stronger niche or more utility.
Marksmanship Hunter
- Petless utility preserved and prior tier play absorbed, but late tuning cuts keep it here. Hunter’s Mark remains a useful tool.
Assassination Rogue
- Low sims but steady results and resilient to downtime. A small pre season buff nudged it into B; Atrophic Poison remains a group benefit.
Outlaw Rogue
- High reliance on uptime and more variable rotations can hurt consistency in progression. Atrophic Poison still adds value.
C Tier
Balance Druid
- Multiple nerfs dropped it to the bottom of meters across the tier. Recent buffs did not change that trend, and prior niche builds are gone.
Arms Warrior
- Decent stacked two target via Sweeping Strikes, but weak single target and limited AoE without large tradeoffs. Battle Shout is still useful.
Manaforge Omega Encounter Context
Manaforge Omega features damage amplification windows, add waves, and movement checks. Specs with strong burn phases, on demand priority damage, and either stacked or spread cleave tend to gain value. Required raid buffs also shape comps, which is why at least one provider of key buffs is common even if the spec is not top tier.
